Frequently Asked Questions

How does EHE Health differ from our existing wellness program?

EHE Health is a comprehensive preventive care benefit, not a wellness program. While wellness programs focus on behavior change, EHE provides clinical preventive medicine through board-certified physicians. Our exam includes 100% of USPSTF-recommended screenings—comprehensive metabolic panels, cancer risk assessments, cardiorespiratory testing, mental health evaluations—delivered in a single 90-minute appointment. We complement, rather than replace, primary care by catching conditions early and referring employees back to their PCP for ongoing management.

Does EHE Health replace our employees' primary care physicians?

No. EHE Health works alongside primary care, not instead of it. Our model is designed to fill the preventive care gap created by overburdened primary care systems. We identify hidden health risks and early disease indicators, then connect employees with their existing PCP or provide specialist referrals for follow-up care. Think of us as the comprehensive screening and early detection layer that gives primary care a head start.

  • Standard measurements: Vital signs, body composition, BMI
  • Cardiovascular screening: Blood pressure, cholesterol panel, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) for cardiac inflammation (age 40+), EKG, cardiorespiratory fitness test
  • Metabolic health: Comprehensive metabolic panel, HbA1C (blood sugar), diabetes screening
  • Cancer risk assessments: Head-to-toe skin screening, prostate screening (men 50+), cervical cancer screening (women 21-65), breast cancer screening (women 40+), colorectal cancer screening (age 45+)
  • Mental health evaluation: PHQ-2 depression screen, GAD-2 anxiety screen, stress assessment
  • Vision and hearing screenings
  • Additional follow-ups as indicated: Screening mammogram, bone density scan, colonoscopy referrals

What does implementation look like, and can we start mid-year?

Implementation takes 4-6 weeks and can begin any time of year—you don’t need to wait for open enrollment. There are no changes to your existing benefits design. Our process: (1) Custom plan design based on your workforce needs, (2) Seamless integration with your benefits platform, (3) Employee communications and engagement campaigns managed by our team, (4) Ongoing reporting with utilization metrics, risk indicators, and population health trends at no additional cost.

How much does EHE Health cost per employee?

EHE Health operates on a per-exam model with no per-employee-per-month (PEPM) fees. Pricing varies based on company size, location, and program enhancements, but most clients see positive ROI within 2-3 years through reduced high-cost claims. Our average client saves $2M per 1,000 employees by reducing high-cost claimants from 9 to 5 per 1,000 workers. Contact our benefits advisors for a custom ROI analysis based on your population.

What results can we expect, and how quickly?

Clinical outcomes appear within the first year: members receive actionable health insights, early diagnoses, and care navigation. Financial ROI typically materializes in years 2-3 as early interventions prevent costly downstream claims. Documented results include 44% reduction in high-cost claimants, 33% increase in healthcare engagement, 67% decrease in employee turnover, and 33% reduction in overall medical costs. We provide quarterly reporting so you can track utilization, risk mitigation, and cost impact.

Can preventive care help lower healthcare costs?

Yes. EHE Health’s preventive care model has been shown to reduce high-cost claims by 44%. Unlike traditional healthcare models focused on treating illness, EHE focuses exclusively on prevention. Through comprehensive, physician-led exams and 100% of recommended screenings, employees receive a clearer picture of their health and can take action before issues become more serious.

How do you measure ROI and prove impact?

We provide robust reporting at no added cost, including: utilization rates by demographic and location, population health risk indicators (prediabetes prevalence, hypertension rates, cancer screenings completed), high-cost claimant trends, and year-over-year claims cost comparisons. Many clients work with their benefits consultant or third-party actuary to conduct claims-based ROI studies comparing EHE members to non-members. Our model consistently shows reduced hospitalizations, fewer ER visits, and lower specialty care utilization.

What locations do you serve?

EHE Health operates a nationwide network of 400+ physicians across 40 states. We offer exams through 7 EHE-owned clinics in major metros and 290+ partner locations nationwide.
